This photograph was taken about a week before the work began.  The property did not have an irrigation system and the plantings were overgrown and woody from years of neglect.  The house is a small bungalow and the view is exceptional. The property is situated in a very special part of "old Hollywood" and near the Hollywood Sign.  We decided to return the property to what it must have been like in the 1920's when people were just beginning to discovers the joys of living in Southern California.

Here is a photograph of the finished property four days after work began on the property.  This picture was taken from the same spot as the photograph above.  Irrigation has been added as well as  a lawn. A hedge of white roses lines the path to the front porch.  A swing hangs on the Pittisporium tree ready to seduce any who want to fully enjoy the beauty and peace of this new yard.

Here is another view of the yard.  A new fountain adds soothing tranquility, and the lemon tree is balanced by an orange tree (unseen) on the right side of the flagstone path.
